In Virginia, and probably in many other states, Nationwide Permits (NWP) are viewed as either a streamlined process that can get a project pushed through faster than with a State Programmtic General Permit (SPGP) or a 'bye' for some projects where water resources may be better protected with the more extensive SPGP oversight.

My opinions aside, was wondering how the NWP revocation was working out for the New England states? Is it more efficient? Has it indeed increased oversight of certain smaller projects?
