Can anyone point me to a good source for species specific water and/or nutrient uptake rates for hydrophytic vegetation? My question pertains to designing a constructed wetland with some specific requirements - basically I want to verify that certain species have relatively high nitrogen and phosphorus uptake rates. THanks in advance for any help. JB

Lots of work on this was done in the 70's and 80's.

The Univ Fl IFAS has an online database that can be searched: http://plants.ifas.ufl.edu/search80/NetAns2/

Also the USDA National Agricultural Library has a good online database: http://agricola.nal.usda.gov/

I got hundreds of hits just now on AGRICOLA.

Lots of articles in J Aquatic Plant Mangement, and Aquatic Botany.
