Greetings:
Looking for some suggestions for monitoring surface water in the upper 1m of soil. I have been using the WL and Ecotone models produced by Remote Data Systems, but am losing patience with them. If anyone has been using similar instruments that are more reliable, please give me some suggestions.
Thank you.

We have used In-Situ mini-troll dataloggers in the past and have been very pleased with them. You can have them custom made to the appropriate depth and can specify vented or non-vented cable based on flooding conditions. If you are using non-vented cable you will need to purchase the baro-troll to compensate for barometric pressure differences. Hope this helps.
